The problem
"Why should anyone stand in front of a closed shop at 7 on a Saturday morning just to pick up a trailer for a move?" That question started the trailer rental in summer 2025, first on Shopify with plugins. Every small change meant buying yet another plugin.
The decision
In January 2026 I rebuilt the entire platform as custom software, with AI as co-pilot. Effort: under 50 hours.
The result
- Booking in under two minutes, fully online
- Pick-up around the clock by PIN code, no key handover
- No deposit on standard trailers
- 18 trailers at 14 locations across German-speaking Switzerland
- 4.9 out of 5 stars from 156 reviews
